Deck update

Things have been progressing well with the deck.

I have made some temporary stairs to access the rest of the garden.  These will be replaced at some stage. You can also see our temporary deck boards we have been using. They are broken up pallets we got free from Bunnings.
The screen and boards on the left are where the recycling and dustbins will go once finished.

So yet another wood delivery. Wendy was in Auckland when this lot was dropped off so I have to lug the whole lot around from the drive on my own. It took me a while.

A few people have asked how big the deck is because they can not guage it from the photos. Hopefully the next couple of photos can give some idea of scale. Its 48m2 total.

A photo taken from the 'usual' spot showing the beginning on board laying process.........well almost the beginning

We were getting a bit concerned about all the pine so decided to stain the boards a cedar colour.
Once we had measured, cut and stained the boards we could then begin to lay them down.

This is a very slow process but progress is reasonably good..........until you see how much we have left to do!!
