How to pass time when you have a bad back...

Well as you all know back in January Steve hurt his back and has since been having massage treatment as the physio diagnosed him with a tight piriformis muscle and has since spent 12 weeks trying to loosen him up. It did seem to be working with Steve having good days and bad days however last week at about midnight he sneezed and it sent his back into spasm; the pain was so bad that I didn't know what to do and called an ambulance who gave him gas and air, the same as they would do for a woman giving birth!

At the hospital we spent 11 hours waiting for doctors and being moved from one corridor to another..... 3 different doctors and 3 different opinions later we were told yes it's muscular you need to go to physio..... the specialist back physio we saw later that day said it's not muscular, you don't need physio, you have a slipped disc, I'll refer you to an orthapedic surgeon... oh and you need to rest.

To fill the days while he is signed off from work he has decided to build a motorbike... a Yamaha R1. Now that doesn't sound like rest does it??? No it didn't to me either until he described the motorbike... it's entirely made out of paper....

You can find them on the Yamaha website and Steve has spent many hours this week diligently cutting out and glueing together different bits of this bike.

I will update you all on the progress :)
