Well technically plane not boat but we've had some new arrivals this week. This would have been their plane - if they hadn't missed their connection to Wellington from Auckland and been 30 minutes late. The weather in Wellington was chilly - I didn't tell the parents before they arrived but over the last week we've had the coldest weather in about 25 years thanks to some brisk southerly winds!
Luckily it brightened up in the afternoon so we sat out the back of our house and enjoyed a cup of tea - in fact it was so sunny that we had to put the sun shade out... and yes that is a bottle of sun lotion, it was really sunny!
Oh and one of the best things about mum and dad arriving??? We had a delivery of bourbon biscuits, custard creams, Bisto gravy, refreshers and lots more goodies. including 2 pairs of shoes, wetsuit boots and lots of clothes... mmmmm refreshers....
