1. The weather is not to be trusted. It can rain and blow a gale in the morning and be gorgeous in the afternoon. In between you get this...

2. They have big bugs here. This one is about 2 inches long. Despite the fact that these fellas are harmless you wouldn't want to get too close to one!
Apparently they are edible... form an orderly queue.....
3. Cruise ships are not good neighbours. Especially when they decide to leave at 6am and do three long blasts on the horn...
4. It's not Cillit Bang over here and Barry Scott doesn't do the adverts.... Steve decided to audition :)
5. December is a good month for picnics in the Botanical Gardens... It's beautifully cool under the trees :)
