1. Wellington has the most amazing sunrises - although this could be becuase I was never up early enough in England to see the sunrise! The sun here comes up over the mountains and shines across the bay. It's beautiful.
2. Stick insects are found in the garden... although this one is a bit confused and decided to sit on the front door. They're about 3 inches long although we have seen babies at about an inch long.
3. Over here if you're on a long journey you don't stop at a 'turdis' you stop and go to the can... literally!
4. It's not unusual to have a goat for a pet - this one was decidedly camera shy!
5. Town names are either Maori and we can't pronounce them, named after British places or as in the example below just completely random.
It's all good fun :)
