Visa's are approved.....................well sort of........

The great news is Wendys visa application has been approved and she has a working visa for NZ but this has not come without some problems.
As she is in a needed profession the NZ immigration service have granted her a 5 year working visa instead of a 2 year one. Now the problem is my passport expires in 4 years time.
A few hecktic emails to NZ immigration later and they suggested I send all my paperwork into them so they can issue a work visa for me and when my passport expires simply go to the British Embassay in Wellington and get a new one. Phew glad that's sorted!
So we sent all the forms off together with numerous photos, and other reference documents that have all had to be counter signed and checked in triplicate etc etc.....

With just 8 days to go we got a phonecall from NZ immigration saying my main application form was missing and could we send in a new one!! So now with less than a week to go we're waiting to see if I can get into New Zealand or will Wendy be flying solo??

Other things that have been going on included lots of good bye parties, including a great weekend camping trip to Cornwall with all our friends from Exeter Air Cooled where we were presented with a stenciled canvas signed by everyone in the club.

Following a full day out at the beach surfing and having loads of fun my bus decided it didn't like the thought of me leaving it behind and died right in the middle of Newquay. A quick inspection found the problem to be a failed CV joint so nothing for it but to call the AA and head home on a low loader. Thankfully a couple of friends were still with us and we had a great time having a picnic on the pavement before being chauffeured back from Cornwall in there bus whilst drinking red wine and eating chinese take away. Thanks JP and Lara.

The house is now all packed up and we have sold all our worldly possesions. Its amazing how much rubbish you collect in a short space of time. We have had several trips to the city tip getting rid of stuff. This weekend we are moving in with Wendy's mum and dad so the local Council can crack on with letting our house out on our behalf.
Thats about it for now so more soon.
