Finally my visa has arrived!!
It actually turned up on Thursday morning but things have been a little busy here so the blog is playing second fiddle at the moment. Wendy and I both had our last weeks at work this week which proved rather difficult. Wendy decided she had had enough on Wednesday and finished early, I on the other hand had been posted to Bristol all week and had a great week staying in a country club hotel with full spa and liesure facillities. Saying goodbye to all my work mates was a little tough but I had a great send off and will miss them all. Dave, the guy who I worked with most of the time should be off on a world tour sometime soon and has promised to pop in to see us down under when ever he gets there.
Unfortunatley last Saturday I damaged my back whilst moving stuff out of our house and have been mainly lying on the floor all week. This has meant that poor Wendy has done most of the emptying the house and packing. Getting stuff ready to leave the country has proved rather difficult but at least we have most of our stuff ready to go.
Last night we went for an evening out on Dartmoor with some friends camping, however my back was not in a fit state so we only stayed for a few hours before returning home to a warm and comfortable bed. It was nice to say good bye to some great friends who will be really missed.
The good news is we are travelling to L.A. on Tuesday where we will be stopping over for a couple of days in Hollywood. From the spec of the hotel internet access is free and so we can update the blog so long as we have time.

At last the adventure begins. You will be sorely mised, but not for long as we are planning a mass departure as son as we can, be warned!! Godspeed, our thoughts and prayers go with you.
