Back to the mountain

After the success of last weekends 'Christmas' it only seemed right to go and find some snow, so on Friday night we packed up the car and headed to Mount Ruapehu.

We arrived at our accomodation quite late so headed to the pub for a couple of beer and then to bed.

Taken from the car park at the base of the snow line we were amazed to see Mount Taranaki, over 160km away!

Wendy was a little scared of going back on to the snow after what happened last time when she bashed her head, and since last time Wendy has bought her own snowboard. I stayed with her for most of the weekend showing here how to control the board and to make sure she was safe.

We had a wonderful weekend and the weather was glourious, hopefully the bruises will go before we try again at the end of the month.
