Well as most people know, Steve and I have moved house. We have moved to the other side of the hill and are now living in Wilton. We no longer have sea views but we do get views of the surrounding hills and all day sun (unless it is raining of course).
We now have somewhere for Cuthbert to live... and somewhere Steve can hide - the garage is on stilts as there is no flat area to park - it is a bit weird to get out of the car and look through the slats in the floor...

This is the back of the house - if it wasn't such a miserable day today you would be able to see that this is a real sun trap - lovely to sit out in the sun, or it will be when the summer rolls round again!
The under the house all weather drying area and the entrance to the laundry and under house storage area or Steve's play area as I'm starting to call it!

The new place is... er... well slightly old fashioned and like most Kiwi homes has no insulation, central heating or double glazing. It has some lovely features like frilly lampshades and the carpet you can see in this picture.....
But it's a 2 bed plus study and we've got a nice kitchen and dining space.
And this is our bedroom and the new bed... spot the frilly lampshades :)
There is a garden around the back which is sunny and really secluded and quiet. We are on a bus route into the city and the bus stops almost outside our door... as we are on a hill it is a bit noisy when it starts off. At night it is very quiet and really dark as we are surrounded by trees and there are no street lights. I love it... when the fire is lit it's such a cosy place - almost like a cottage.
Oh and now we have room for guests :D
